Q: My iphone 5c was recently tossed into a wall and the screen come off completely (the cord on the inside that attaches the screen ripped). I took it in to a local repair shop and they hooked up a new screen. the new screen came on but the sensitivity on the screen wouldn't work. they put new screen after screen on and the phone still would respond to my touch. They said that it could be something in the port where the screen plugs in is broken or the little chip that controls sensitivity could have something wrong with it (they also said that to put a new chip thing on the old one would have to soldered on and a new one would have to be soldered on). What do you think it would cost fix, because i have a lot of important data on my phone that i need and dont really want a new phone.

Hi William, we'd definitely need to see the device to say for sure what's going on with it. It does sound like there is some board related issues, which we can fix. We'd recommend sending it in for our diagnostic service, which is a free service. We'll test it and put together a quote for repair. Let us know if you have any other questions, we'll be happy to help you out.
