Q: I would like to have my iPhone checked out to see if it can be repaired (water damage). I have taken it apart and placed it in 99% IPA dried it and reassembled it but it did not power up. I did not replace the battery ( I could replace the battery but did not want to burn $40 if it is not the problem). When I opened up the cast there was no evidence of corrosion, some water spots, water indicators were pink, all connectors were clean, no evidence of fried components. This phone will be a back up since, I invested in iPhone 7 that is water proof. What do you think is it worth the effort?
