Q: I was caught in a rainstorm the other night and my phone got a little water in it. It It turns on and functions normally except for the fact that the lock button does not seem to respond and the volume buttons also stick. If you hit the volume buttons, the volume changer icon shows up and does not go away. When I attempt to power off the phone, the screen will go black and then the while apple logo screen will show for approximately two seconds before going black again. This keeps happening. Have you ever encountered this before? Does it seem reparable?
iPhone 6 Power Button Repair Service
Em Emily - 4 years ago
Hi Emily, Yes, we've seen this issue before. This is common with liquid damaged phones. We'd recommend sending it in for diagnostics service, or the water damage repair service. From the sounds of it, there may be some corrosion that is causing the device to act erratically. Please let us know if you have any other questions. We look forward to helping you out.
