Q: I spilled a little water on the lower portion of my Macbook air 2012 13" and a bit on the upper keyboard. The computer blacked out immediately. I had the computer professionally dried out and analyzed the next day when the repairman said the computer would not boot. A week later the computer booted fine and worked 100% except for the screen which would not work. I can see everything running fine behind the transparent Apple insignia, and everything is 100% when I connect to an external screen. My GUESS is that the logic board was unaffected due to the functionality of the computer now, and that there is some sort of LCD-connection shortage that only affects the screen. Any chance on a quote? I know it is dependent on which part needs to be replaced but a estimate would be appreciated. Also, is the $60.00 dry/cleaning fee automatically deducted? I already had the computer professionally dried out and cleaned, and it has been over 6 months since then.
