Q: I have an IPhone 5s that I took in the swimming pool with me. I took it to a local company called Retech. They, immediately hooked it to charging cable & turned the phone, (exactly what they told me not to do until the phone was dried). Apparently everything worked including the gyro, because it counted the steps that he took before they took it apart & dried out the phone. When I picked up the phone I didn't notice that the gyro wasn't working until I tried to turn the phone for a different view of a picture. So, I took the phone back & they told me that the gyro was messed up & it couldn't be fixed because it is part of the motherboard. The only other issue is the volume up button on the side of the phone, down volume works fine. Not a big issue because I can raise the volume if I go into settings, & use the volume slide. I explained to them what the service person did when I brought it in & it appeared to work until they took the phone apart. They said it wasn't them that messed it up, but why did it work until they took it apart? I guess my questions is can the phone be fixed or not? I really like this phone & cannot afford to purchase another one like it. The best price I can find for an iPhone 5s is almost $300.00. Please respond to this email. Thanks James
