Q: I have a surface pro 4 with a dead battery, can your company replace it?

The Surface Pro 4 has its display glued to the body, so the screen has to be heated and carefully lifted off before we can reach the battery, which is also glued in. The glass is thin, so this is a job for proper tools rather than a home attempt. A dead battery on this model usually shows up as the tablet only running while plugged in, shutting off suddenly, or showing a battery level that never goes up. If the screen is starting to bulge or separate at the edges, the battery has probably swollen. Stop charging it and send it in soon.
