Q: I have a Surface Pro 3 that will not charge. I know it is not the power supply, since I have two other Surface devices (Surface Pro 4 and the latest Surface Pro) and have tried their power supplies and the culprit looks to be the Surface Pro 3. I was using the device with a Microsoft 1664 Docking Station and that does not charge the device either. What it does is that the white light on the charging cord does not come on with any of the supplies. Prior to this problem happening, the device would charge and the battery life was acceptable. It does have about a 50% charge on it now, but I have stopped using it so as to not run it down. I have recovered all data files stored on it. What can you offer? I am in Tarpon Springs, FL. Do you have locations near me or do I need to ship the unit. What are the rough estimated costs for repair?
