Q: Hi, My Hero 5 black LCD has stopped functioning recently it is still receiving some form of light but does not show what the camera is seeing or have any response to touch. I tried using it in a dark room with a light over the screen to see if there were any images but nothing so I do not believe it is a back-light issue. It is still recording and taking photos as normal and I can navigate through the modes and their settings on the front camera. I have tried manually updating the firmware (which is up to date) and checked my memory card is supported (Lexar 633x) and it is. I am curious what the cost of a repair would be for this.
