Q: Hi - I have an iPhone 6 that got wet for probably 5 seconds in a sink of water. It was turned off immediately and placed in a sandwich bad of desiccant for several days. I opened it, changed the battery, it ran for about a week and died again. I then replaced the charging port module, which included the speaker and earphone jack, but still no luck. Is this worth sending in, even though I have been inside already? I see no signs of water, rust, corrosion and the little red moisture indicator does not even appear to have been set off by the SIM slot. Little befuddled since it looked like no water actually made it inside. There is no need to retrieve data, my goal would be salvaging the phone for another year or two.
