Q: Hello! My husbands phone spent the night in the lake- we found it off the end of our dock the next morning with the screen lit up on the lake bottom. We pulled it out and it said battery critically low 1% and then it shut off almost immediately after we got it out of the water. We stuck it in a bowl of rice and about 12 hours later my husband tried plugging it in. I'm afraid at this point he fried it. It would occasionally turn on, but it wasn't running properly. And it would only last 5 minutes or so before it shut back down. Now it won't even power on. It's just dead. Do you think it's worth trying to save so we can resell it? (He has an iPhone 7 now) or should I just sell it on eBay as a broken phone?
