I have an iPod Nano 7th Generation and there is a new battery in it, but it needs to be soldered in, and the iPod needs to be put back together. The battery is brand new and has never been used or charged. How much would it cost to repair it? Also, once it is repaired, will the songs still be on it? Thanks, Jeff

Send it in under the free Nano 7th gen diagnostic and include the battery, noting it in the order. We can usually install a customer-supplied part, but we can't warranty it; we'll quote the labor after we look at it and wait for your approval. A battery job doesn't touch your songs. We don't wipe devices.
