Q: I got a little water on my new MacBook Air while it was in a carry bag and off course I dried it off imediately and took to an authorized apple repair center IShop/TechPeople in Queretaro, Mexico at the new iStore in Atena. They kept it 3 days to do diagnostic and said the significant repairs needed were possible but to do, but it would run about the same price as a new machine. They did offer to very affordably get all the data off the machine, which I am having them do. The questions I have now is should I just use it as a door-stop or should I send it on to you to see if you can use your magic, ultrasonic cleaning and fix corrosion issues so that you possibly could resurrect my MacBook Air for less than the $1,000 price tag they gave me, or before I go off to buy a new one. As a conscience recycler I also wonder if there a places that take dead Macs and use them for parts when rebuilding other Macs. I'd rather that happen than having my beloved computer end up on a land fill. Thoughts???
