I have a ipod nano gen 5 that will not turn on unless i have it plugged in with a charger (newly purchased). Everything works except there is a malfunctioning problem with selection on the screen. I can use the wheel but when I click on a song, it will malfunction and turn off the screen; sometimes it will sing for 0.02 seconds and then turn off. What is the problem? Can I send in the product? Sounds like a battery or board issue rather than the screen. The old LCD listing is gone, so send it in under the free iPod Nano 5th Gen Diagnostics. We test it and quote before any work. If you decline, no bench fee, just return shipping.
