Q: Hello: My Iphone 5S suddenly locked on me. It has worked fine with no problems ever since I got it 2 years ago. Today I was not able to unlock it. I did everything It was shown on the web about how to unlock it, and it did not work. Even to reset it in I tunes, but the "Reset" screen which should come up after the Itunes screen, never came up therefore I could not re-set it. However, noticed that as I tried the suggestions of holding the home button and the "off" button, it did as they explained it-- the screen went black. The next step was to continue holding the "home" button until the icons came up... now, I noticed that the icons screen tried to come up, but it was of a "tomato red" color and you could see all the icons in black on the background... it stayed like that for a couple seconds and then the screen went black. I did this several times, trying to get it to bring the icons in their normal way, but to no avail. It may be like some damage with the key pad, but I don't know. Anyhow, I really don't want to lose my all my data. Could you please let me know possible cause? Thank you.

Hi Maggie, it could be your LCD that is going bad. To get give the most accurate quote on repair we would need to see the device and test it. We recommend sending it in for a diagnostic.
