Q: Hello, I tried to replace my battery on 5th generation 80GB ipod classic. I followed a you tube video and where they said to be very careful lifting the battery port as to not damage that port, that was exactly what I did. Can you repair that port. It will involve soldering that port back to the board.

Soldering jobs and pick up jobs are done on a case by case basis and normally require manager approval. My suggestion is to go into the closest iFixYouri location and request to speak with a manager and see if it is possible for them to repair the device successfully. Please bring the device and any/all parts you have for it.
