Q: Hello, I sent this question in about an hour ago but I left out some information. I have an 80GB 5th generation ipod model # MA450LL. The last digits on the serial # is DV9R. I tried to replace the battery. I watched a video and it said to be very careful to gently lift the battery port. I was not careful and pulled that port off the board. Can you repair that? it would involve re-soldering it to the board. If it can be repaired I can bring it down to your Brookline, MA location. Thank you, Regis
iPod Classic 5th Gen Battery Repair
Re Regis McDuffee - 4 years ago
Soldering jobs and pick up jobs are done on a case by case basis and normally require manager approval. My suggestion is to go into the closest iFixYouri location and request to speak with a manager and see if it is possible for them to repair the device successfully. Please bring the device and any/all parts you have for it.
