Q: Asked by Bill on 11/19/2015 Curious if I have a battery issue. My Ipad will take a full charge and will work for hours before needing to be plugged in for a charge. The issue that I am having is that it will shut down with a full charge. When I turn it back on it shows no charge at all. I plug it in to charge and will not turn on due to the charge being too low. 15 minutes later it will show a full charge and work fine. The Ipad will work fine with no issue for a few days but will happen again. I have had this Ipad for a long time, purchased as a refurbished in 2010 and I think it is a 1st or 2nd generation, in fact it is so old it will not take any upgrades to it OS beyond 4, (I believe).I suppose I should upgrade to a newer Ipad but my financial situation does not make this an option for me, in fact the $100 to replace the battery would be a significant burden as well but one I could manage if that is what the issue is and you could guarantee that that would fix the issue that I am having. If you do not think it is a battery issue could you offer advise as to what you think it may be and how I could correct it myself? Thank You for your time,Bill Answer: Hi Bill, has the device come in contact with water? We recommend that you send it in for a diagnostic so we can take a thorough loo at your device Answer: No it has not come in contact with water and now it will not take a charge at all or even start up when it it plugged in directly.
